Serving the Community At Large --  Creating a Bright Future

AWEP promotes a greater understanding of environmental issues by the public. Another main purpose of AWEP is to promote women in environmental professions through education and association with other professionals.  AWEP educates, in part, through its speaker series.  The speaker series is open to the public.  For some events we ask for a nominal donation from non-members.

Members of AWEP also periodically participate in educational events at schools and colleges in the area.  Should you be interested in members of AWEP leading or participating in an event at your school, college, or university, please submit a request to the Board describing the event and its educational objectives. 

AWEP's members are diverse and so too are their areas of expertise. The Board will try to match your request with members with the expertise necessary to achieve your educational objectives. The AWEP Board will consider requests on a first-come, first serve basis, so send in your requests as soon as possible. We will do our best to support worthy educational events in the region as a contribution to a bright future for this generation and those to come.
